red and white

Saw this dress a few weeks back in a sale. I was drawn to its brightness but in the end put it back on the rail in the thought it would be to bold for little old me after all I don't like standing out :-)

 

Well As I was having a need to be girlie day last Sunday I went back to the shop on the off chance the dress would still be there.

As you can see it was.

 

Probably never get worn out but hey ho who cares.

 

So its international womans day today or so I have been told, don't think any of the girls noticed as they were to busy. I suppose that's the problem with being a woman they are overlooked, unnoticed, taken for granted and generally end up playing 2nd fiddle.

Maybe that's the point of the day to bring the woman's worth to our attention.

 

Why shouldn't they get equal pay for doing the same as a guy and have the same opportunities open to them!

 

Maybe one day we will get trans woman day to draw attention to the fact that its neigh on impossible to get a job, be taken seriously, and not to be treated like an alien.
