a little story

first day back at work after a long weekend and catching up posting photos from the other week and trying to sort an outfit for tomorrow night. A woman's work is never done.

Any this photo reminded me of a little thing that happened while I was trying dresses on the story goes like this.

I was looking around Roman Originals just for something to do and passing the time of day. I had already been in and looked around and had returned to try a couple of dresses on. The shop had a few women browsing the rails who took no notice of me so I chose two dresses to try on an d took them to the changing room.

I tried this one first took this photo and then pulled the curtain back to take a look in the big mirror. I noticed a woman in the other cubical who kind of gave me a look. anyway I went back to try the other dress that was similar to this one but in blue with a fuller skirt and a cute little belt. as you do I looked at myself from all angles and thought the dress would benefit from a hat so I hatched a plan to ask the sales girl to find one for me. as with all plans it failed due to this little interruption.

As I walked out of cubical again and posed in front of the big mirror I heard a voice behind me say "excuse me" I looked around to see the woman I who gave me the look earlier. "yes" I replied. she then went on and asked if the jump suit she was wearing looked ok and if it was too tight around her rear! Oh blooming heck what do you tell a woman who asks if her looks big in this? As luck would have it she look and her rear looked great. this she didn't seem to believe so I offered to take a photo.

So in the middle of the shop I took a pic and showed her. by this time assistant had turned up asking if we needed any help. and we all just started chatting. it then hit that I was stood in the middle of a shop talking to two women while dressed in a posh frock party frock like it was the most normal thing in the world to do and all the while the other woman's husband was sat on chair totally oblivious of the scene unfolding in front of him.

We at last went our own way. the lady thanked me for my help and I changed and left the shop after spending half an hour being treated like I was a woman.

Just a shame I didn't get to try a hat or take a photo :-(
