New Lens Test (P1220224)

I wanted a focal length a bit longer than my Voigtlander 17.5mm for night photography. I could have gone with the Panasonic 15mm, but I decided on the Voigtlander 15mm M mount adapted to M43. This was my first time using this adapter and lens combination and it was a very tight fit on the adapter. I also found that the distance markers on the lens are now inaccurate. Infinity focus is somewhere around 3 feet with the adapter. It looks like very close focusing is lost with the adapter, but infinity focus is what I mainly want anyway.

As for the experimenting, I took shots between f5.6 and f8 and it seemed sharpest in between, f6.7 I guess. There is noticeable softness on the left and right sides, similar to the Nokton 17.5mm. It seems fairly sharp in the center, but I have to experiment some more with the focus distance. There are the sharp starbursts that seem to be evident with all CV lenses.
