2012 '70 Machine Pistol
The 2012 Series was designed long before the appropriate year, but kept in secret until it's release to NATO armies in 2012. A massive leap forward for weapon technologies, the Recoil Diminishing System (RDS) became heavily adopted and copied worldwide.
Using this brand new system, the opening demonstratory weapon, the Machine Pistol, or 2MP, staggered audiences when it emptied it's entire 35 round magazine into a target, and having 28 of the bullets within a 10cm radius of each other.
Redesigned in 2070, one year after the beginning of World War Three, the newer 2MP70 was far cheaper to produce, and was the sidearm of choice for any soldier of the future battlefield.
