Challenge: BEVERAGE

The Triad visited the Salton Sea today. The Salton Sea is 13 miles wide by 33 miles long. As of 2013 it is 53% saltier than the Pacific Ocean. It is 232 feet below sea level. The deepest part of the sea is 50’ deep. The sea is evaporating 6” to 8” per year. Over 400 species of birds use the Salton Sea as their home during the year, including the endangered Clapper Rail. There are over 400 million Tilapia (fish) in the Sea. April through July are the best fishing months with no limit on how many you can catch.
