The Midi when introduced in 1970 was universally rejected after the go-go Mini years of the 60s. But by 1974 Long skirts won over and were universally worn, until the ever strong Mini was revived again in 1987.

Pants became a viable alternative in this era due to the hemline confusion.

The Midi is making a very strong return and welcome return for Spring 2011.
