1016 Western Gladiator is a strong contender, having low-down electrification flashes and allocation stickers behind the cab doors.
We had a public timetable with us so we knew when passenger trains were due, but this one evidently caught us by surprise; few photographers would have deliberately chosen this viewpoint.
It is not yet 4pm, but our main line photography is over for the day, due to our policy of staying at youth hostels. We were due to stay that night at Pendennis Castle hostel in Falmouth.
