Manuka, Leptospermum scoparium, tea tree

Manuka is a widespread shrub/tree rapidly occupying human-disturbed ground. The general appearance is very similar to that of Kanuka but can be easily distinguished from it by the feel of the prickly leaves rather than the soft feel of Kanuka.
