Custom LEGO Back to the Future Part II: Marty McFly & Doc Brown

I finally finished my end of a trade with Jared/Jerdfigs, Doc and Marty in their 2015 attire from Back to the Future Part II. It's been awhile since I have seen BTTF, so making these guys was a nice surprise.

 

Marty McFly

"Nobody calls me chicken."

 

Out of the two, Marty was the most difficult because of those damn Nike power lacing Air Mags. Took me like 3 drafts to get a design right and to get the paint to dry (mostly) correctly. Shoutout to MooseMan for helping me design the kicks.

He also has some fabric glue to the legs for the inside out pockets. The jacket and pockets are fabric the painted. The arms have the inflator/extender seams painted on and e-tape straps. The head is the TLG head, and the hat/hair combo was custom made.

 

Sadly I don't have a Hoverboard but Jared has one, so it works out.

 

Doc Brown

"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads."

 

Doc was kind of simple on the other hand.

I painted his boots with laces on, skipped on the green socks (looked goofy), and painted the shirt. The clear tie is a cut piece of flexible plastic.

The coat is a modified CapeMadness trench coat. Head and hair is TLG.

 

Unfortunately I don't have any watches for Doc, but Jared has a pair that he'll put on.

I did however make his silver glasses out of a pop can, and those can be removed from the head. They're wedged between the head and hair.
