Vinicunca
Vinicunca or Winikunka, also called Montaña de Siete Colores, Montaña de Colores or Rainbow Mountain, is a mountain in Peru with an altitude of 5,200 meters above sea level. 5,200 feet, and yes, that's higher than any mountain range in the U.S.
At the distance is the snow capped Ausangate Mountain of the Peruvian Andes range.
This is the view we had when we did a trek to the Rainbow Mountain this Feb. We were lucky that it didn't rain though it did drop a few mist which enhanced the colors of the mountains.
Sadly to say, I wasn't able to trek to the top - am not as fit as I thought I am, but am glad I had the opportunity to view the dramatic changes of light and shadow every minute as the sun playing hide and seek through the moving clouds.
