John Buxton was the second son of John Buxton, of Tibbenham, Esq., anancestor of the present Sir John Buxton, Bart., of Shadwell Lodge. He lived at SouthElmham, and was patron of the church of Shimpling, in Norfolk, in right of his wife,who was daughter and heiress of Mr. Proctor, of Burston, in the same county. Heleft issue 3 sons and 1 daughter.
