+++ Francis was a considerable benefactor to the parish, bequeathing money for almshouses & £100 towards releading the church roof. He erected a new pulpit, desk pews etc. Having no issue, he willed the manor to his nephew Rev Robert Rolfe at whose death it was sold to Sir George Chad.
