Sir Thomas had rapidly re-established his family after his father had been executed for treason in 1502. Originally placed in the Lady chapel which despite Thomas leaving money for its repair, became ruinous and was pulled down by the end of the 16c. It was then moved to the Jesus chapel where it remained in front of the altar www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/2X98Mh until 1872, when it was again moved to its present position in the nave north aisle. That it was moved and still survived whilst others have not, is amazing, or perhaps he was still too well connected. - Norwich cathedral
