PERHAPS c1501 Sir Richard Huddleston and Elizabeth Dacre
Guidebook - Alabaster tomb (judging from the armour and style of lady's dress) is probably that of young Richard Hudlestonl (grandson of Sir John 1494 www.flickr.com/photos/52219527@N00/3275774847/ ) and his wife Elizabeth Dacre. They died c1505 leaving no issue and there is no painted heraldry left to confirm
Elizabeth was the daughter of Humphrey 1st Lord Dacre 1485 and Mabel daughter of Sir Thomas Parr of Kendal and Alice Tunstall of Thurland . (Mabel was a great-aunt to King Henry VIII's 6th wife Catherine Parr, www.flickr.com/photos/52219527@N00/5339030017/ )
Richard was under the guardianship of his stepfather Sir Lancelot Threlkeld, once he came of age being seen as a prize bachelor with wealth and pedigree, he was promptly kidnapped by Mabel Dacre, wife of Humphrey 1st Baron Dacre of the Northand compelled to marry Mabel’s daughter Elizabeth who may have been 17 years his senior.
Richard was dead within the year and neither Mabel or Elizabeth profited from the marriage. Mabel served 9 months imprisonment at Lancaster Castle for her crime of ravishing a royal ward and died within a year of her release. Elizabeth died while tending to her imprisoned mother. Mabel’s son Thomas 2nd Baron Dacre and her son-in-law George Lord Fitzhugh paid part of her recognizance but objected to paying the balance.
The Lordship of Millom followed the male Huddleston line and was transferred to Richard’s uncle John Huddleston. The Nevill estates were divided between Richard’s sisters Margaret and Joan, Margaret receiving Blennerhasset
Elizabeth's aunt Margaret Radcliffe is at Crosthwaite www.flickr.com/photos/52219527@N00/1082721532/
(ALTERNATIVELY this could be Richard's parents Margaret Nevill 1499 and her first husband Sir Richard Huddleston 1484/5 son of John Huddleston 1494 www.flickr.com/photos/52219527@N00/3275774847/ having children Richard, Margaret and Joan. Margaret illegimate daughter of Richard Nevill, Warwick the
