Monument to Herbert Weston 1635 , wife Eleanor Bray & their young son, moved from the north wall of the chancel to the west end of the south aisle;

 

"On the death of Herbert Weston, gentleman, ……. His loving wife Eleanor Weston, daughter of John Bray of Fifield in the county of Oxford, esquire, has placed this monument with tears to perpetuate his memory -

In the earth rests his body in expectation of the blessed kingdom of heaven

Not that thou needst a monument or stone

to put the world in mind that you are gone

Is this rais'd here posterite shall see

Thy name line for thy hospitalitie

Thy wife & child heave with their teare dewed eyes

Attend as mourners att thy obsequies

insteede of anthemes chaunted thou hast prayer

of poore which with theire votes doe fill ye ayre

An anniversarie cann but needless bee

where rich & poore daielie remember thee
