The early 15c south door with "humility" entrance, is believed to probably be the finest carved door in the county and one of the best in the whole of England. It has Tudor roses, crockets and rich canopies. The Knowles shield is set between the emblems of St Luke and St John . Down the sides are carved the 4 doctors of the church, Gregory, Jerome, Ambrose & Augustine. Round the arch are other saints possibly Saints Michael, George & BVM .
