Mense Praefecturae suae decimo; Anno Aetatis 43. He was the son of Mathias Rutton Alias Tyce of London St Botolph Aldgate brewer c1538-1603. the family originated from Holland

A "Citizen and brewer of London he came to reside at Sandwich, and acquired his freedom

WILL (Canterbury) 16 Sep 1608/13 Oct 1608 Abraham Rutton of Sandwych ... gentleman ... Item I give to Suzan my wyfe whom I have ... unto me one yearlie rent or annuity of £20 per annum out of all my lands and tenements ... my sonne Abraham till he is of full age of one and twenty yeares ... for Suzan my daughter ... Sara my daughter ... unto the said Abraham all my bookes whatever prynted and written ... I give to poore people of three parishes in ?Sandwich ... Suzan my wyfe and my good friend Edmund Parke sole executors ...

HOWEVER wife Susanna added this statement after his death

Abraham Rutten, gent., by his last will and testament gave me one third part of his goods and chattels and the other two thirds to Susan and Sara his two daughters, not knowing then that I was with child — now to Posthuma my daughter ... my late husband ?William ?Aston [INTERNET]

Messuage etc. late Barnard Lent's in Sandwiche which fell to me by law and descent from my father. My 3 daughters Susan Rutten, Sarah Rutten, and Priscilla[sic] Rutten, my only son Abraham Rutten. Parker, 76 [INTERNET]
