He bought the manor in 1794 from Sir William Wollaston son of William Wollaston 1757 www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/wdJS99 and built the hall where the family lived until after WW2 in which the last male heir was killed

He m Jane Seymour d1855 www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/5qXzzH coheiress daughter of Francis Colman of Hillersdon Devon who m2 Admiral Sir William Hotham 1855

 

His heir was his great nephew Robert Bussell who changed his name to Pettiward and married Frances Catherine Nelson, grand niece of Lord Nelson - Robert having 9 daughters and no son was succeeded by his cousin Charles Terry 1933 www.flickr.com/gp/52219527@N00/0o10LG who also changed his name to Pettiward
