Some may know him as Bobby Martin of Bobby Martin Productions, others often call him The Granddaddy of R&B and Soul. Bobby Martins track record speaks for itself, along with his collaborations with legendary producers Gamble & Huff. Well, it looks like The Granddaddy of R&B and Soul is now collaborating with The Temptations, such legends in the soul music genre. Bobby Martin says he plans to produce and arrange The Temptations on their next project. The fans just can't get enough of that good soul music. The Temptations are packing out concerts and selling out tickets like never before. Bobby says that he is amazed with the turnouts at these concerts, it takes him back to the days when he was arranging, conducting and directing MFSB. He remembers Kiss And Say Goodbye, Me And Mrs. Jones and The O'Jays etc. Strangely, Bobby Martin was supposed to leave Philadelphia International Records in the late 1970s to team up with Berry Gordy. Bobby Martin decided to work as an independent producer, yet he was based at A&M Records and Bobby Martin Productions with Quincy Jones. Bobby Martin has made such a great contribution to Soul Music, he won the Grammy Award for the theme song to Soul Train.
