Florence as a city is beautiful but a large degree of its beauty resides within enclosing walls. And by enclosing I mean viewable under previous payment. I know I make it sound a bit mercenary but I do have to say my pocket was left trembling after my visit to the city; however, what my finances complained my eyes enjoyed throughout.
My economy was not the only thing left sore; my feet were also victim of Florence’s charms. There’s so much to see inside and out that despite taking buses to ease from all the walking, my feet were begging for mercy at the end of each day.
