Loco Lifts produced by Peco, product code SL-43, can be used to store rolling stock, but they need something to be stored in themselves.
I've tried making my own box that's a good fit myself by cutting and folding a box to fit, but it's time consuming and not particularly easy to do multiple times.
I found five Loco Lifts fit within an 11 litre Really Useful Box with some space to spare, however by shortening the length of the Loco Lifts, you can make six fit snuggly instead.
