Lakota Board of Education
The Lakota Board of Education decided to implement its first reduction after its school levy failed earlier this month. Tonight, Nov. 15, the school board announced, in front of crowd close 100 people, that it will move forward with its plan to cut busing for all high school students and students in grades kindergarten through eighth, who live within two miles from their school. The changes to transportation will begin Jan. 18, 2011. The plan, however, was not officially voted upon at the meeting, but it is expected to be past soon.
