BNSF 1598 W-MANBEU1-04 South of Stanton ND
My good buddy Leopard is in a 9 straight night event at work. So we all know it will take a miracle to keep the old man happy. So I thought I would atleast have some photos of his favorite paint scheme to keep him somewhat happy. Just for you go John!
BNSF's rotary works around the curve at MP 51 as they get in position to blow out 2 cuts south of Stanton on the BNSF Zap line. You can see the backhoes working in the distance to pull snow down onto the track for the rotary to blow. It would take about 26 minutes to blow everything out on the 1st pass. They would end up making 2 passes before clearing up for 2 trains. This was back in 2009 when the BNSF just started to believe in their rotaries again. Think this was one of the 1st times in a long time they had used them. I remember it was a big deal.
