Kodak Catalog (1924)

This is a scan of the front cover of a Kodak catalog from 1924, this particular copy that I own does have some condition issues; but overall is not in bad shape considering that is it over 85 years old.

 

I really enjoy reading and looking through these old catalogs; to bad that you usually do not come across them very often. This is mainly due to the fact that these catalogs were usually discarded shortly after being glanced through a couple of times.

 

They are an excellent source of information on the various products that where marketed by the Kodak company around that time period. They make a rather handy reference in regards to the various features of a particular product, which are either listed and/or mentioned in the catalog; along with an illustration and what the item looked like. Also pricing information, which helps gives you a rough idea of how much something would have originally retailed for around that time. Not only that but it is kind of interesting to look back and see what was considered "high-tech" and "cutting-edge" in the world of photography in the 1920s.
