History:
Sylvia Ouellet moved to New Blok City as an aspiring dance student. She discovered her powers by accident one night after a rehearsal. She became a target for two thugs that had been following her to her apartment. Rather than become the victim, she fought back. Her fighting skills were not only enhanced, but her shadow manifested itself to aid her in combat. Sylvia spent the next few weeks focusing on her new abilities. A short time later, one of her classmates experienced the same fate she almost had, but with a tragic result. The incident motivated Sylvia to protect others from the same outcome. She borrowed some items from her school’s costume department and began to call herself Sable. It wasn’t long before she found herself cleaning the back alleys of the two legged trash that prowled the streets. Every encounter became more violent and an unnatural hunger drove her carry on her vigilance. A chance meeting with Creed when he pursued a criminal into her territory would change everything. The two struck up a friendship, but her powers would reveal themselves as something much more sinister than had been thought. A dark entity which was the source of her powers would become jealous of Creed and manifest itself. After an epic battle, Sable freed herself of the entity with Creed’s help. The trauma would strip Sable of her powers and sidelined the heroine for a while. She would retain her increased strength and agility along with the skills she acquired, but her shadow control was no longer present. It is unknown if any other abilities were retained, but once she gets back on her feet; Sable will be fighting the darkness of New Blok City once again. This time though it will be on her terms.
