Imber Village 007
Abandoned Tanks on Salisbury Plain near Imber
The lost village of Imber (see link) lies on Salisbury Plain just east of Warminster. In 1943 residents were given just 47 days to vacate. The army has retained the village ever since! St Giles Church dates from the 14th Century and is still open for a few days each year. From the road between Warminster and Imber you can see derelict hulks of tanks which are still used by the MOD as target practice!
