Around me are my students, all fellow Parkies and all finding the creativity within so that their paintings show luminosity and life. From a group of 12 we had 43 paintings being exhibited and 13 sold at the opening.
Painting with Parkinson's helps PLWP to change; they change their level of optimism, they change their attitude to their illness and they change the way they look at life. And for me, I have a renewed zest for life and I am achieving more since I was diagnosed with Parkinson's 5 years ago, than ever before.
In June, my book Living and Laughing with Parkinson's will be published. I have illustrated it with over 40 fullpage cartoons.
