On Wednesday, April 5, 2017 the Young New Yorkers for the Fight Against Parkinson's committee and the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (PDF), a division of the Parkinson’s Foundation, held the
tenth annual Celebrate Spring New York at Lavo in New York City. Nearly 300 supporters raised $150,000 which will benefit the Foundation’s research programs. The event featured cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a live auction and dancing, with music by DJ Brenda Black. Part of the proceeds raised included a $15,000 grant to the Foundation (PDF), presented by longtime event Co-Chair and Northwestern Mutual Financial Advisor Jonathan Romero, Jr. The grant recognizes his ten years of service as a volunteer to the Parkinson's Foundation.
