July 25 - A Successful Launch
This is one of the caterpillars we have been able to track from caterpillar on our milkweed, to pupa (we actually saw this one shed it's caterpillar skin and form a chrysalis), the stages of the chrysalis, and today a Monarch Butterfly. Though it emerged from the chrysalis while we were at the store, it hung around on the same milkweed plant so we could watch it's maiden flight. Still one chrysalis to go, plus a new batch of baby caterpillars on the milkweed. I'm a happy camper.
