25-28 days

This is an image of the pregnant uterus of a female cat at 25-28 days gestation (4 weeks gestation). The uterine swellings have continued to grow and they are now about 40-50mm long. The swellings are still spaced out along the length of the female cat's uterine horns, but as you can see, those that are positioned closer together are now starting to touch. These uterine swellings are often able to be palpated by a veterinarian in order to diagnose the pregnancy and, if they are not able to be clearly palpated, they are usually very easy to spot using ultrasound.
