Magnenaut
Dual-spoked Polyhedron
Made with 6360 Zen Magnets.
Playing around with the flash on my camera. Normally I keep it turned off when taking photos of magnets - the reflection almost always ruins the picture. This time, though, the result isn't half-bad.
The icosahedron frame floats within the larger rounded dodecahedron frame, suspended by spokes that extend from the same core that supports the dodecahedron.
Though it may not make much difference to the overall appearance of the construction, I'm particularly proud of the fact that there are NO direct connections between the icosahedron and dodecahedron - they are held in place only by virtue of the fact that their spokes connect to the same inner core.
