The Anzac Bridge at Pyrmont, in Sydney. An absolute favourite of mine, I have shot it at various times of day, in colour, black & white, and infra-red, with 7 different cameras over a period of time and a myriad of lenses, including an EF 15mm Fisheye, a Sigma 10-20mm, an EF 70-300mm DO IS, an EF 24-70mm, a Zeiss Distagon 21mm f2.8 and a Sigma 50mm. I can’t get enough of this bridge, and I drove over it twice a day for 15 years! Oh yes, I’ve shot it from inside a car too!
On this occasion I shot it at lunchtime with a handheld Canon EOS 5D Mark II and a then brand spanking new Lensbaby Muse. I chose the Muse over the Composer, which has a focusing ring, as I’m a manual sort of guy and with my first exposure (ouch) to a Lensbaby, I enjoyed the control over the focus point using the fingers. I also tried to shoot the bridge with a Super Wide Angle (x42) attachment, but those shots are too freaky even for me to upload.
I left an f4 aperture ring in the lens for this shot, and used ISO 50 at 1/400th of a second.
See this photograph at Light Matters - my next solo exhibition. Virgin Walls Gallery, Blackheath 10-26 June 2016; Gallery ONE88, Katoomba 28 June - 10 July 2016.
