Sylvia Falls, Blue Mountains. I had been in The Valley Of The Waters since dawn, shooting several waterfalls in the fog and progressively descending further and further into the valley. Having shot Sylvia Falls many many times before I did not stop here on the way down. In any event I had just explored and shot the very top of the falls, and the light was getting too glary. As it was, it was almost midday by the time I ascended back as far as Sylvia Falls and, wouldn’t you know it, the fog had rolled back in. The sun was still hidden behind the foliage ahead and above me, so I unpacked the gear and took this long exposure. A few minutes later the sun burst through and it was all over red rover.
