Grandmother's Flower Garden
This was the third bed quilt I made. I cut the hexagons with a rotary cutter and marked the seam allowance with a pencil. Machine piecing was easy, but the border was a challenge for a novice quilter. I intended to hand quilt ever single hexagon. However, I never finished the job. It took too much time for mother of two young children. Nevertheless, the quilt is used, washed and - most important - loved.
