Although Ash (Fraxinus excelsior trees can reach a height of 35m, this one is just a baby.

 

Ash dieback (Hymenoscyphus fraxineus)

 

We have in the UK at the moment the problem of Ash dieback which according to the Woodland Trust will kill up to 80% of ash trees across the UK. At a cost of billions, the effects will be staggering. It will change the landscape forever and threaten many species which rely on ash.
