Another Spring tide

Another afternoon passes

Along with the summer clouds

And occasional tourist.

 

Lying where it was left

The hulk lies rotting

Each tide carrying away

More of its memories.

 

Soon, there will be nothing

To remind us of its life

And the life it gave to those men

Who worked its lines.

 

Dumped. Left. Forgotten.

All it does now is raise questions

Stirring the imagination

Of those who take time to wonder. (PhilJazz 2024)

 

I keep returning to this spot trying to find the image that represents my feelings of this place. This is another angle and just as important, a differernt film developer combination and a new approach to post-processing - I'm getting closer to what I want...

OM2n 35-70 f3.5-4.5

 

Ilford Delta 400 @ ISO320

 

Perceptol 1 + 1 (150ml + 150ml water) @ 21 Deg C 14mins

Adofix 1 + 7 (40ml + 275ml) @ 20Deg C

 

3 min pre-soak

Development 30 Sec slow inversions plus 3 bumps on the counter

3 inversions every minute plus bumps x 3

Drain and stop bath

 

Fix for 8 mins with periodic inversions (~ every 1 min)

Wash 4 x 500ml

Final rinse with wetting agent
