This machine has a diamond wheel with half-round, half oval or half diamond shape grooves. The glass rod is pressed between the diamond wheel and the hard rubber wheel as the diamond wheel rotates. This cuts the rod into individual beads.
The finished beads may be polished to make smooth beads or faceted to make beads similar to Swarovski beads.
