Infra Red Thermometers
Infra-Red Thermometer for non contact temperature measurement
Infra-Red Thermometers are able to measure the temperature of something without actually being in contact with the object that it is monitoring. The non-contact thermometer is able to do this by using infer-red. Infra-Red Thermometers work by sending out infer-red and recording the amount of infer-red energy that returns.
Infra-Red Thermometers are useful for applications where the object to be measured is in motion; where the object is surrounded by an electromagnetic field, as in induction heating; where the object is contained in a vacuum or other controlled atmosphere; or where a fast response is required.
Thermometer is ideal when you need to take the temperature of an area which is either out of reach or too hot to get close to. With an LCD display and capable of reading temperatures of up to 3800C the Infra Red thermometer is primarily used in measuring the temperature of furnaces, ovens and hard to reach places.
