The Erie Peace Initiative bought a stick-on ad, which was placed on 10,000 copies of the June 10, 2007 issue of the Erie Sunday Times. It reads:
"On May 24, Congressman English voted once again to continue the Iraq War. If you think it's time to being our brave troops home, call his Erie office: 4562038"

Kevin Cuneo, public editor for the Times, wrote an editorial that appeared that day as well, entitled "Political ads create sticky issues for newspapers"
