Sunrise on the crest
The lower Owens river is an area I have been wanting to get out for a while now and I finally was able to do a year ago though it did come with some unexpected issues like getting a flat tire the year before. With all that it definitely is an area I want to return to and continue to explore in more detail.
For those of you who are wondering, that's Basin Mountain in the center of the frame with Mt. Humphreys on its left shoulder and hiding behind the bush on the right is Mt Tom.
I have another shot of this scene with a slower shutter speed that I posted a few months ago but I think I like this composition better. I like how the faster shutter speed freezes the river but not so much that you loose all the texture in the river as flows along the course of the river. What do you think?
