Severn Link at Hythe
Then two as yet unamed Severn Link fast cats laid up at Hythe waiting to start the fast ferry service between North Devon and South Wales.
Built by Kvaerner in 1996, they are 40m long, capable of 34kts and can carry 360 passengers on the 50 minute journey between Ilfracombe and Swansea. Other planned destinations are Minehead and Cardiff. The service should have started in mid 2010, but has now been postponed.
