NOTES: Seaborn Carr migrated from Georgia to Pasadena in 1893. He was one of the founding members of Scott Methodist Episcopal Church which was established in 1903 and is currently located at Orange Grove Boulevard and Rosemont Street. "The Enterprise," established by Carr in 1902, is regarded as Pasadena's first African-American newspaper.
