Audo Logs Season 2- Pilot

...I had sunk into the waves, and briefly blacked out. Shortly after, I awoke, floating on my back. near the shore. I remembered what had happened, and my tears mixed with the salt of the ocean. I cried, cried until I could cry no more. Clenching my teeth, I waded out into the ocean near where I estimated I fell. With that, I dove, lungs burning, to the bottom. There, I found my prize. The cleaver which had once been the General's, was now mine. I rarely took trophies, but this was different. Swimming back to the shore, I dried off, and then used my compass to direct me to the camp. I knew where we were, and was able to estimate the direction from there; this cliff was where Natalie and I were married. My target in mind, I began the slow trek back home...

Several days later, I arrived in silence back to the camp. I was dehydrated and hungry, but I was alive. As I walked in, Cryptid noticed me. He signaled for food and water to be brought, and joined me where I had sat down. Food was brought, and I ate as a crowd gathered. Throughout it all, I remained silent. Once I had finished eating, I remained silent, despite the crowd. Cryptid was wise enough not to say anything. However, his loose-tongued friend, Remi, wasn't. He made a joke, something about a jailbreak. A few of the new guys chuckled, however I found no humor in it. It enraged me. Standing, I approached Remi. His grin remained on his face, as he looked down at me. It didn't remain for long, as I shattered his jaw with my fist. With that, I walked away, to find a new place to sit. Finding a bench, I shrugged off my bandoleer, and laid the cleaver on the bench beside me. I left to fetch my rifle, and sat back down. Assuming a comfortable position, I began to clean the sniper. I heard muttered voices as the crowd disappeared, and some of them carried Remi to the infirmary. I felt no regrets; I was beyond feeling anything.
