Audio Log #20- Away in chains

After escaping the Urag facility, I met up with the rest of my squad as they were making their way back to the exfil vehicle. they were all amazed to see me alive, and I told them what had gone down. The younger ones were amazed by the tale of the Mutant, but Cryptid and I shared a glance understanding the implications of the Urag experimentation. I then said that we should make haste back to camp, and we left.

Upon returning to camp, we immediately delivered the intel to the tech operators. Inserting it to the computers, they discovered that it was filled with data on how the Urags were manufacturing the Mutants. One of the logs stated that they were having trouble asserting themselves over the Mutants, and they wouldn't take orders well. This much was obvious, by the apparent breakout. Fortunately, the Urags couldn't yet bring these terrible weapons to bear on the USDF... yet. Somewhat reassured, I went back to my tent for some rest. not bothering to change, I laid down...

Several hours later, I was awoken by hard rapping on a wooden post in my tent. Opening my eyes, I saw two MP's standing in my tent. "Are you Lt. Dagger?" One asked. I replied yes. not wasting any time, one of the two dragged me out of bed, and the other slapped wrist irons on me. Confused, I asked one what I was charged with. He replied, "Negligent manslaughter of the first degree. Someone high up issued the warrant. You're coming with us. Still confused, I followed them out of the tent. Outside, was a loose semicircle of soldiers, some my friends. I matched gazes with Cryptid, who had a quizzical look. I shrugged my shoulders, and continued. The MP's led me to a vehicle, a troop carrier with an enclosed back. Only briefly, I saw a woman who looked like Anna in the passenger seat. Then I was thrown into the back, and I saw the door close behind me. I heard the lock click, and we were off. Driving, to who knows where...
