Monrovia: A small evergreen shrub with a dense, naturally globe-shaped growth habit. Rich green needles are arranged in flat layered sprays. The compact form makes this a popular accent plant for mixed borders or containers. A very adaptable, tough, durable plant.
Planted in 2010. Plan on trimming lower branches this year, 2016. ~2x1.5 ft, 2016. Planted next to several siberian iris, so it gets dwarfed in the summer. Removed some of the iris in 2020.
