Peony 'Green Lotus' 23W22 Lactiflora S3- (Krekler, Roy Klehm, 1995) (3-SL-WH) Lactiflora Cultivar Peony, Mature plant size: 28in., WHITE, 4in. white to light line green base. An occasional petaloide shows up with the stamens., USDA Hardiness Zone 3-8, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW21, In Garden Bed S3 for 8.7 YEARS (fina). Planted in 2014.

American Peony Society: Lactiflora, with green streakings. Good substance, height 28″-29″, white to light lime green base with some white and lime green streaking with touches of light to medium pink toward petal ends, white tipped pistils. Good foliage, 4″-4 1/2″ wide flower. Good foliage and slight fragrance, pollen. 0-1 bud per stem. Seedling # KR47-59

Paeonia 'Green Lotus' (Krekler, Roy Klehm, 1995) is a herbaceous species-cultivar or a cultivar with only one herbaceous species involved (in this case Paeonia lactiflora). Single blooms tending towards semi-double. Looks somewhat like a Cactus Dahlia. At any rate, an unusual mostly white flower with pink tips. A light lime base with some lime green streaking on the pedals. Pistils are white tipped and stamens are bright yellow. In my opinion, an unusual looking flower that quickly turns ugly. In other words, the window of opportunity for a good photo closes quickly. Leaves look good in fall.
