Hosta 'First Dance' 9/2021 Hosta- (Walters Gardens) Giant Hosta, Mature size: 24x48”, Gold ruffled leaves with a green margin turning to chartreuse in summer., USDA Hardiness Zone 3-8, Michigan Bloom Month 7, In Garden Bed D1,#08 for 12 MONTHS (Crownsville,). Planted in 2020.

 

Crownsville Nursery: Hosta ’First Dance’ PPAF is a sport of H. ’Dancing Queen’ introduced by Walters Gardens. Large gold ruffled leaves with a bold green edge.. Gold turning to chartreuse by mid-late summer. 24"h x 48"w. Pale lavender flowers. (3.5" pots)

 

WalterGardens: This sport of 'Dancing Queen' has a wide yellow center and green margins. Rippled leaf margins, varying from ¼ to ½" wide, jet into the leaf center, giving the plant a graceful appearance. This hosta forms an upright mound-shape clump. The intense yellow centers mellow to chartreuse by midsummer. Pale lavender flowers appear above the foliage mid to late summer on arching flower scapes. A great specimen plant for the shade garden.

 

2020 note: well developed plant, pot bound. Seperated and trimmed root system. Planted in shade bed with drip irrigation.
