Bright purple-red stems and deep purple leaves, veined in red. Countless number of intense purplered tassels. 3-4ft. Germination: 1-15 days, 70-85F. Well-drained soil. Very tall in 2019.
2020 Note: self seeds like crazy, but easy to pull out or spray. I always leave a few in the garden to mature.Great color for the fall garden. Flowers are a somewhat brighter reddish purple than the leaves. 2021 note: over 6 feet in front garden.
