Solidago canadensis 8/2021 Goldenrod- () Goldenrod, Mature size: 48in, yellow, USDA Hardiness Zone 4, Michigan Bloom Month 7a, In Garden Bed W3 for 5.9 YEARS (Native). Planted in 2015.

 

Missouri Botanical Garden: Solidago canadensis, commonly called Canadian goldenrod, is a rhizomatous, upright perennial of the sunflower family. It is native to North America (throughout Canada and the U. S., except absent from South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Louisiana and Hawaii). It is mostly found growing in moist conditions on abandoned farmlands, pastures, fields, thickets, prairies, waste areas and along roadsides.

 

Herbaceous perennial plant with a central stem that is 2-6' tall. Wide distribution results in several varieties with significant variability in the characteristics (local ecotypes).
