Anemone x hybrida 'Serenade' 8/2021 Anemone-

Anemone x hybrida 'Serenade' 8/2021 Anemone- () Japanese Anemone, Windflower, Mature size: 24in, Pink single, USDA Hardiness Zone 4, Michigan Bloom Week ISO WW33, In Garden Bed Y0,2,3 for 13.2 YEARS (9.95). Planted in 2008.

Max Vogel' and 'Serenade' have similar pink flowers with 10 to 15 narrow, overlapping tepals surrounding a yellow, globe-like center of anthers. Bloom periods average ~60 days. Strong stalks, no flopping. After a few years, they reach 4 foot tall.

2020 notes: 4-5 feet tall. Spreads rather aggressively. I have this planted in a somewhat shady area, so maybe this accounts for its height. A late summer bloomer. Chicago Botanic Garden did an evaluation of Anemones in 2004. The top 3 in their trials were ‘Andrea Atkinson’, ‘Max Vogel’ and ‘Serenade’. I have all three.
